Bonaventure of Albany iscurrently recruiting for the position of Maintenance Director.
The ideal candidate has avariety of skills to support the responsibility to see to the completemaintenance and repair needs of an assisted living community, including: Thebuilding's plumbing, masonry, carpentry, painting, electrical, refrigeration,flooring and grounds. This responsibility encompasses preventative and responsivemaintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Maintenance Department budget.
Ensure community is properly maintained for efficient and safe operation.
Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule.
Keep accurate maintenance records on all systems and equipment for each community.
Refurbish vacated apartments.
Supervise proper storage and labeling of all equipment and supplies.
Check maintenance supplies and submit orders on a timely basis.
Interact positively with the residents.
Maintain tool inventory.
Perform limited plumbing, painting, electrical, equipment, HVAC and structural repair work.
Work with community management team members and / or supervise independent contractors in performing necessary and / or assigned repair work.
Perform all work in a timely manner which may necessitate a fluctuating work week and ability to travel to assignments on short notice.
Perform all work assigned for agreed upon wage accepting no additional payment or non-perishable gifts from residents, vendors, community management or others.
Meet the assigned work hour requirements of the job.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
