SUMMARY
To assure the proper washing and drying of laundry.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY
Operates washing and drying equipment, loading and unloading from machines. Measures and administers cleaning agents to laundry according to product specifications
Attends to folding and storing of fresh linens
Monitors feeder information on washers, make sure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to immediate supervisor
Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen
Clean up machines and surrounding areas
xxx9;Laundry attendants may be required to assist in housekeeping Room Attendant or House Person duties as needed
HOURS AND ATTENDANCE
Up to 40 hours per week with varied and flexible shifts/days, likely to include nights, weekends, holidays and occasional overtime. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the hotel from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Team members with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
SPECIFIC POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Individual must possess the following, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
xxx; Working knowledge of the use of laundry chemicals and different formulas, as well as effects on various types of linen.
xxx; Ability to prioritize and organize work.
xxx; Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time.
xxx; Requires lifting bundles of linen weighing up to 50 lbs.
xxx; Ability to push and/or pull wheeled carts weighing up to 150 lbs.
xxx; Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as safety label and instructions.
xxx; Multixxx;Lingual a plus
xxx; Attendant may be asked to answer phone in laundry area
xxx; Must exhibit positive interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs and varied business contacts
xxx; Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
xxx; Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures

The first 90 days of employment are considered probationary. The 90 day review allows the supervisor or department head an opportunity to determine whether or not the Team Member&#xxxx;s qualifications and performance satisfactorily meet the requires of the position.
