My name's Nicole. I'm from San Francisco and I'll be in Portland for the month of June doing an ESL Certificate program. I'm looking for a simple room in a shared household that's relatively near my sister and little niece, who live Southeast, near Division. I'd like to be in a friendly, nonsmoking environment and prefer a room that gets natural sunlight. Also near transportation. I asked my housemate and long-time friend what he'd say to people about me. Here's what he said: "You're a really friendly citizen of the world who loves adventure and anything that has to do with enjoying community and different cultures." Me: "Should I tell them that I'll probably make them laugh, too?" My housemate: "Yeah, you should probably include that." I'd say that's pretty accurate. Work-wise, I teach English as a Second Language at City College in San Francisco. I'm sociable and enjoy being around people, but also independent and need my time to myself. I like to cook, read, listen to music, work out, and enjoy the outdoors (especially on a bicycle). I'm a responsible, clean, respectful, & relaxed housemate -- not a partier or smoker.
