Primary Responsibilities The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is primarily responsible for handling service requests, operational needs assessment and requirements analysis to maximize technology use within PH Tech Operations. They receive business needs from customers, research issues, coordinate with impacted operational areas and convert all inputs into proposed solutions. Outcomes may result in the CSA completing system configuration or the developing requirement documentation for review by software vendors. The BSA is a subject matter expert on PH Tech s systems and implementations and will work in conjunction with PH Tech account representation and project management to ensure plan and provider needs are being met. This position requires strong communication skills, technical troubleshooting abilities and teamwork. For quality control purposes, this position also routinely tests configuration updates, software releases and coordinates testing environment activities. Manage system configuration details in a consistent, auditable and accurate manner Gather and define business requirements; functional requirements; system requirements; and reporting requirements Validate system program and configuration changes such as; benefits, fee schedules, contracts, programming enhancements and other system updates to prevent adverse effects of system changes that would impact accurate and efficient processing of claims for all lines of business Work proactively to identify manage and document optimal business processes Maintain a positive working relationship with multiple clients, external users, providers and internal customers. Position Type: Full Time Salary: Depending on experience Benefits: Required Qualifications and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent required for this position; Bachelor Degree Preferred Minimum of 2 years experience as Business Systems Analyst, Quality Control Analyst, or other applicable Information Technology Position OR 3 years healthcare administration experience (claims, customer service, provider relations, or other) required One year experience using PH Tech s Community Integration Manager preferred Healthcare insurance and claims administration and Health insurance industry rules and regulations knowledge required Proficient in Microsoft Windows; Outlook; Explorer; and Excel Basic knowledge of DBMS concepts including ERD s, ETL, and SQL required Basic knowledge of SDLC and change management concepts and processes required Intermediate experience using SQL to run queries and analyze data preferred This position may be filled as a Business Systems Analyst Junior depending on knowledge, skills and abilities of applicants.
